The Magic Of Argan

The Argan Tree, known as ‘The Tree Of Life’ by the Ancient Amazigh Tribes, is a reveared tree for offering its abundance in so many forms to the people of Morocco.

This special tree grows exclusivley on the land of South West Morocco. For centuries, the people of Morocco have used the resources from this worshipped tree, to provide the people of Morocco, with a wide range of products. These include: Argan oil (cosmetic), for hair, face and body and Argan Oil (culinary), along with Amlou, (a delicious mix of Almonds and Argan oil).

Health and Healing properties of Argan:

• Promotes skin elacticity and hydration

• Promotes hair health, hydration and growth

• The antioxidents found in Argan oil help reduce inflamation, the healing of wounds and overall optimal function of the heart, circulation and liver

• It has also been known to reduce Achne

How Argan Oil is produced:

For centuries, women in Southern Morocco gathered together in cooperatives, have been passing down the traditional Methods of extracting Argan Oil.

They first gather and dry the fruit, crush the nuts and then the kernals are roasted for culinary Argan oil, however the kernals are left raw to produce the cosmetic Argan oil, to then be grinded and finally knead the paste to extract the oil. It can take approximatley 30 kg of Argan nuts and 10-12 hours of work to produce just one litre of oil!
